VLHOVÁ + REUSCH = 2025

PETRA VLHOVÁ AND REUSCH SIGN LONG-TERM COOPERATION AGREEMENT

Two weeks ahead of the FIS Alpine World Cup start in Sölden, we are delighted to announce the contract renewal with Slovakian ski racer and reigning Giant Slalom World Champion Petra Vlhová until the year 2025.

As one of the big rising stars of the World Cup scene and after celebrating her best season so far with 5 World Cup victories, 3 World Championship medals (gold, silver and bronze) and finishing second in the Overall World Cup ranking, this season Petra is ready to take up the challenge for the ultimate coup: the Big Crystal Globe.

Asked about the reasons for the contract extension, Petra states: “To put it simply, there’s no better product around – the fit of the gloves is simply amazing. In combination with the excellent treatment and service I experienced over the last two seasons with Reusch, my decision was made very easy. I need reliable partners on my side in order to not worry about any material issues and be able to fully focus on my skiing. Reusch is definitely one of those partners and that’s why I’m super happy about the renewal of our long-term cooperation.”

Being part of the Reusch team since 2017, the Slovakian joins forces with the glove specialist for six more years to come. Together with Shiffrin, Kristoffersen, Pinturault as well as the World Cup rosters of Austria, France, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Slovenia and the USA, Vlhová forms yet again a dominating Reusch racing squad.

Erich Weitzmann, Reusch CEO: “We are very proud about the huge achievements of all athletes wearing Reusch gloves throughout the last years. With Reusch legends like Hirscher and Vonn having retired, a new generation of incredible athletes is now ready to step into the light and make their mark in the racing scene. Petra is without a doubt one of the most talented, ambitious and promising skiers around and we are very confident that she will compete as one of the world’s best for many years to come. That’s why we are more than happy about the long-term renewal of our cooperation. Her commitment to sign with us until 2025 shows deep trust from her side, which we are highly motivated to compensate with hard work and the best products on the market.”

The FIS Alpine World Cup season 2019/20 will be kicked off on October 26 and 27 with the traditional opening Giant Slalom races of both the men and ladies categories in Sölden, Austria.
