The greatest skier of all time

At the age of 28, Mikaela Shiffrin has become the skier with the most World Cup Wins ever.
The American Ski legend first conquered her 86th top step of the podium with the Giant Slalom race on March 10th in Are, Sweden. This victory allowed her to equal the overall record of Stenmark.
But Shiffrin did not stop there and by winning also the Special Slalom race the day after, she accomplished the greatest feat in the history of alpine skiing, officially surpassing Stenmark's record.

This extraordinary achievement represents a breakthrough in Shiffrin’s career and the fact that it happened exactly in Are assumes an even deeper meaning:
for those who do not remember, Shiffrin conquered her first victory ever in Are in 2012.
Now she can count on 87 amazing World Cup gold medals, all of them won with Reusch gloves.

Shiffrin still has a long and bright career ahead of her! Ingemar Stenmark raced in World Cups until he was 33, while Lindsey Vonn competed until she was 32. Mikaela will probably keep setting the bar higher and higher, giving any athlete who comes after her a very hard time. But then again, what else should we expect from a champion like her?

We could not be prouder of Queen Mikaela, and we wish her good luck in whatever the future holds for her!

#BE FAST #BE STRONG #BE ONE STEP AHEAD
And Mikaela most certainly is.
